Latest Asterisk Update Secures Open-Source PBX Communications

Asterisk version 13 , do we just need it for “Japanese language”?

Asterisk Telephone System

Asterisk is an open-source project which was first released back in 2004, providing users with a feature-rich IP PBX platform. Ten years on from the original 1.0 release, the latest instalment of the Asterisk family, 13, is now available and provides users with enhanced security and stability for the foreseeable future.

Asterisk 13 will be the most significant update of the platform since its predecessor, Asterisk 12, which hit the selves back in October 2013. The most significant improvement in Asterisk 13 compared with its predecessor is that the latest version is being referred to as a Long Term Support release, which offers users product support for up to four years.
